Did you know?
Nearly 1 in 5 seniors lives alone, and isolated seniors have a 59% greater risk of mental and physical decline.
86% of homeowners who receive help from Rebuilding Together Seattle feel more connected to their community and feel more comfortable inviting friends and family into their home after their home is restored.
You can help combat senior isolation and spread the love by sending a valentine through our annual Hearts Rebuilding Homes campaign!
How it works
Make a donation to Rebuilding Together Seattle of in honor of your loved one(s). After receiving your donation, Rebuilding Together Seattle will mail a customized Valentine's Day card with a Seattle Chocolates truffle to your valentine, notifying him/her of your gift and sharing about who it will benefit. RTS can also send an e-valentine, if requested. Rebuilding Together Seattle respectfully requests a $25 minimum donation per valentine.
This year, we hope to raise $5,000 to restore the homes of families in need. We are expanding our grab bar program to include ramps and railings, and these funds can help facilitate that: $5,000 can install 15 ramps or railings for seniors in need, to allow them to come and go safely from their home and engage in their community. Please consider helping us reach this goal by sending a valentine to your loved ones today. We encourage you to send a valentine to someone who hasn't yet been introduced to RTS, to invite them to join you in this work to improve our communities.
Spread the love today!
