Meet the Team

Caleb Marshall, Executive Director

"I love seeing the personal interactions between appreciative homeowners and caring volunteer partners." 

Caleb joined RTS in February 2013 after seven years at KaBOOM!, a national nonprofit with a mission to create great play spaces and increase children’s access to play.  Along with three years of service in the Peace Corps, Caleb brings experience in volunteer and project management, community engagement, and program development.  Caleb believes strongly in the capacity of volunteers to strengthen our communities, and bringing them together to address our basic human need for housing security in order to grow and sustain Seattle in an equitable way.

In his free time, Caleb enjoys the many outdoor activities our area offers, as well as more sedentary pursuits such as watching football and playing board games.

Mike Lahoda, Program Manager

"My favorite part about our programs is seeing a community transformed in just one day."

Mike moved to Seattle after graduating college to serve as an AmeriCorps Member with City Year working with at risk students in Seattle schools. After two years of tutoring and leading volunteers, he grew to love Seattle’s unique and diverse culture and planned to continue serving the community, joining RTS in July 2013. Mike greatly appreciates the ability to be a part of so many transformational community projects that promote safe and healthy housing in Seattle. He is motivated by the incredible homeowners, passionate volunteers, and dedicated staff at RTS.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys playing the banjo, riding his bike, and searching for Seattle’s best sandwiches.

Jenny Whelan, Development Manager

"I love how RTS connects local homeowners, volunteers, and donors alike to foster the basic right of a safe home for all."

Jenny first discovered her enthusiasm for Rebuilding Together Seattle when she first served as an intern in 2012 while attending the University of Washington. She was fortunate to return to RTS as the Development Assistant in March of 2015, bringing experience in sales, marketing, and relationship building to the team.  Jenny is passionate about philanthropy and connecting people with the causes they care about most. The ability of individuals to unite with the mission of bettering the greater community inspires her work every day.

When she is not at work, Jenny is on a constant search for her new favorite food and music. She enjoys yoga, running, and spending time outdoors.
